Welcome to Pediplot for Windows

PediPlot as intended to help genetic researchers draw pedigree diagrams of families, and, to a certain degree, act as a database for maintaining data of families.

You can read some notes on the ideas behind the program.

To generate a pedigree diagram you should go through the following steps:

• Enter your Abstract (optional) Here you can put some general notes about the family, that will be put on the different printouts.
• Enter your Legend (required before you can enter persons). Here you define the meaning of the various symbols on the diagram. You cannot use a symbol before you have specified the legend text for it.
• You may define keyboard shortcuts (macros) to ease your data entry for persons.
• Enter the Persons
• Printing the Diagram
• Printing Listings
• Handling Errors from the program.
